Portraying yourself through a portfolio

Portraying yourself in a positive way through a portoflio is improtant. Keeping the portfolio neat and organized will help give the reader a sense of who you are. It will reassure them that you care about the study of the portfolio and the project overall. If the work is sloppy, most likely they will think your paper is sloppy, and they might prejudge the final result. Also if the work portrays a dark side, or sad side, the reader might think of you in that light. If you want to be portrayed that way, then make your work sad, or somber, however if you are a happy person then make the work happy. Have your work reflect yourself. Put yourself in the readers shoes. How would you react to this porfolio as a first impression of someone?
